ESTADO TEATRO
"Theatre State" s an original idea by Isabel Lagos and Erika Webe. It is a feature film project that aims to develop a unique visual narrative, created by a team of deaf and hearing artists. The script has been written, and they are currently building this universe through a series of short films.

LA HISTORIA DE LA PELICULA
En una noche de tormenta un viejo tren llega a una estación, en uno de sus vagones un cofre se abre. Una artista viajera camina descalza por las calles de una ciudad llevando aquel cofre sobre ruedas, hasta encontrarse frente al humo y las llamas que salen de la ventana de un ático, de un teatro abandonado. Allí viven un actor sordo y un viejo pintor. Los tres protagonistas se encontrarán inmersos en una aventura donde tal vez, y sólo tal vez, logren salvar al teatro de su demolición, y a la humanidad de su propia condena. A través de la historia 9 personajes bastante particulares llegarán junto a ellos; también una fotógrafa jubilada y un chico del barrio. En aquel Gran Teatro el rol de cada uno será esencial frente a un futuro incierto.
ESTADO DE DESARROLLO
El guión está terminado. El R&D desarrolla sus Vértices a partir de escenas del guión, y luego del Vértice es posible que haya ciertas modificaciones en la historia. Dos de los tres protagonistas ya han sido confirmados.

RESONANCE
A lonely bureaucrat from the culture department sits down with a glass of wine. Feet of a man walking the streets in flip flops. The woman arrives at a small theatre in a cul-de-sac, she has a paper with her detailing a small theatre for imminent closure. A deaf actor and an old puppeter live in the backstage of the small theatre.
SILENT ECHOES
Vladimir, a mask maker who has cared for Luken since childhood, creates a mask for him while the young actor is immersed in crafting his own play. However, Luken refuses to be masked.
Cara, a secretary from the Department of Culture, entering the space, with a sense of purpose, finds herself caught between their silent conversation and her task to shut down their creative endeavours due to bureaucratic pressures. As the characters struggle, each with their personal demons, their inner senses come alive, playing instruments, singing, and dancing, representing their subconscious thoughts and emotions. These ethereal beings remain invisible to the main characters, highlighting the disconnect between their desires and the harsh reality they face. The film is a meditation on decay, the walling off of creativity, and an existential question about the nature of reality.
The concept of the mask—both in theater and in life—is questioned.
